The Horizon series has been made into a new film by Adam Sentoni
Using live images, photography and original music, Adam created a film inspired by the paintings and concepts of Dorothy's "Horizon."
“A couple of years ago I came to Dorothy's studio and saw several canvases on her walls with gradient bands of color radiating out from a central focal line. I was immediately affected by them and asked Dorothy about them. She told me she was working on a series inspired by the horizon. I heard sounds and music in these paintings; synesthesia of not just music, but shape and design and concept and spirit all wrapped together.
“As the paintings developed, they found their way into my dreams. I saw them clearly in my dreams and heard the music I would eventually compose and perform for them. The idea of a film developed as I realized that these images Dorothy was creating weren't just physical representations of a horizon, but a physical manifestation of our internal horizons as well.”
